Tony Ward likes to quip, “My first gig was the lounge act on the Mayflower, so you get the idea.” He actually began playing piano at age 8, and played in public for the first time at about 10 years old. In 2014, he took a leap of faith and bid adieu to regular jobs and local gigs, and pursued the goal of making a living doing the thing he loves most -- playing piano and entertaining. He auditioned for Carnival Cruise Line, secured his first cruise ship contract as a piano bar entertainer and Elton John tribute artist and never looked back.
Tony also performed three summer seasons sailing on riverboats with American Cruise Lines. He’s had the privilege and joy of entertaining thousands of cruise ship guests while traveling throughout the Caribbean, the Bahamas, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest. He’s met numerous cruise ship guests who have become longtime friends.
