Amy Thomason is based in Boston and has spent the last eight years performing in dueling and solo piano shows for theaters, weddings, corporate events, festivals and clubs across the East Coast. Originally from Music City, Nashville, Tennessee, Amy started playing piano when she was four and began performing in local theatre productions soon after. After studying music and theatre at Oklahoma City University, Amy made her way across the country acting, music directing, and costume designing for regional theatres. While working in Maine, Amy stumbled into Howl at the Moon in Boston and instantly knew that’s where she wanted to be.
Since then, Amy has worked to build her performance career -- becoming a regular on the New England club and freelance circuit, working as an actor with HBO, Hulu, Netflix, and in the Boston Independent film scene, and serving as music director for local theatre productions. Amy loves that this job gives her the opportunity to play everything – including her old Nashville country hits, Broadway classics, 90s grunge to Carol King. Her favorite place to be has always been sitting at the piano, surrounded by friends, playing their favorite songs as they sing along. She continues to feel so lucky to make a living doing just that!
