Jay
Sweeney
Jay
Sweeney, a talented singer, keyboard/piano player and songwriter,
is a regular Monday night performer at Arthur's Tavern in New
York City. Featured as a weekly performer on VH1's Ru Paul show,
Jay Sweeney also plays with the house band at the famed Café
Wha, a gig he began after touring the United States as a keyboard
player for blues legend Bo Diddley. In 1997, Jay received recognition
for his song writing and musical talent on his successful recording
Cover of a Magazine.
Influenced by his father, a concert pianist, and his mother, a
piano teacher, he headlined as a solo pianist in Norway, Sweden
and Australia, before forming the Jay Sweeney Band, a steady popular
act on the New York City music scene. Sweeney's work embraces
many tones and styles with ease—delivering music that is
sexy, edgy and packed with an energy audiences love. In addition
to his music career, Jay is a successful film and television actor,
model, and saxophone player.
