Jose
and Patti
In
1992, Club Med's entertainment director at their beautiful Huatulco,
Mexico resort, Jose Davila, met Patti Tateo, a New York resident
with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and Business from New
York University. The two, who both originally hailed from South
America, joined forces musically and quickly became favorite performers
at Club Med resorts worldwide.
Having been named the hottest band on the Club Med circuit, Jose
And Patti spread their wings to performances in Asia and on board
cruise ships throughout the Caribbean. They have enjoyed a reputation
as being dynamic performers and thoroughly entertaining professionals.
Patti had performed in such New York venues as the Cat Club, Limelite,
The Bottom Line and CBGB'S—not to mention a spectacular engagement
at the St. Regis Hotel alongside keyboardist Rich Siegel.
Since 1985, Jose Davila had labored as lifeguard, landsports and
tennis instructor, sports director and, finally entertainment director
in many of Club Med's most exotic resorts throughout the Caribbean,
Mexico, France and the United States. With over 20 years of guitar
playing and singing experience, Jose has performed in front of a
countless number of people of all nationalities with music ranging
from classical to contemporary to folk-rock. Some of his responsibilities
as entertainment director included music and stage direction, coordination
of a team of choreographers, costume designers and light and sound
technicians, for nightly performances.
The duo's musical styles include folk, rock, R&B, jazz, Latin,
dance and standards—all performed in an acoustic or full blown
midi sequenced presentation. They sing in English, French, Italian
and Spanish. And perform material from Barbra Streisand, Neil Diamond,
Carly Simon, Roberta Flack, Stevie Nicks, Indigo Girls, Elton John,
Bette Midler, Cat Stevens, America, Simon and Garfunkel and many,
many more. |
