Kathy Fry

Kathy was born in Ohio, USA and, due to the influence of her musical parents, began her classical piano studies at the age of 9. She studied voice and performed as a soloist and in choirs and ensembles. She began playing guitar five years after embarking on her piano studies, eventually performing on the local coffeehouse circuit. At 18 years old, and while attending the University of South Florida, she launched her professional career as a member of a five-piece band. She performed in a number of bands and now has more than 20 years of experience as a solo pianist, vocalist and guitarist.

Kathy loves the notion of music as the universal language and enjoys exploring the music and styles of other cultures. Her repertoire includes pop, jazz, musicals and country, with strong influences from the Gershwins, Billie Holiday, Elton John, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Willie Nelson. She loves to interact with the audience and is always ready for the challenge of audience requests.

Kathy has performed time and again at many of the world's finest piano bars and is truly one of the favorites on that circuit. Her engagements have taken her throughout the USA, Europe, and Asia and to Bermuda and Caribbean island resorts.
